Emergence Technology Solutions successfully completed a migration project for the Department
of Economic Development (DED) Data Center (DC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) facilities. The
project involved migrating the existing DC network to a new Cisco ACI (Application Centric
Infrastructure) network, utilizing Cisco Nexus 9000 Series Spine & Leaf Switches.
One of the key challenges faced by the DED was the need to modernize their infrastructure to
support the increasing demands of their growing organization. Emergence Technology Solutions
was able to provide a solution that not only addressed the DED’s immediate needs but also
future-proofed their network.
The Emergence Technology Solutions team implemented the ACI network infrastructure in both
the DC and DR facilities, connecting the Spine Switches and Leaf Switches for optimal
performance. The team also ensured seamless migration of the existing DC network to the new
ACI network, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity for the DED.
The new ACI network provided the DED with the agility and flexibility they needed to support
their growing organization. With the new network in place, the DED is now able to respond to
changing business demands more quickly and efficiently, and has seen a significant
improvement in network performance and stability. The DED reported a 45% increase in
network speed and a 30% reduction in downtime since the project was completed.
The Department of Economic Development was extremely satisfied with the results of the
project and the expertise provided by Emergence Technology Solutions. They have since
engaged Emergence Technology Solutions for additional IT projects and services, and the two
organizations have formed a strong partnership
